A year ago we interviewed Amana Melome' at Panera's Bread.Just 2 days ago, Monday December 11,2006 we again interviewed Amana.Amana was performing acoustic style at WholeFoods Market store in Westwood,CA.In between sets early afternoon,Amana reveals a distribution deal with WholeFoods Market.The health food chain has deemed her 'Indigo Red' music CD as 'Organic'.CDs are sold in the stores.
We're pleased to know the wider world is embracing this re-freshing music artist.A truly natural and organic songwriter/vocalist..

Monday November 14,2005 was the Debut CD Release Party for Amana Melome'.The Album is 'Indigo Red'. We all shared the celebration with Amana at The Blu Monkey in Hollywood. It was also Amana's birthday.Ms.Melome' graced us with an impromptu acoustic set. Fresh,familial and laid back. Congrats to Amana and 'Sage' of Savana records.'Afro-Pean' vibe is here in Hollywood. We shall be interviewing her on this 'Indigo Red' project soon.
I wind down the show with 'Soul Remembering' from 'Hezu Em Medu Rey Kemet' (Songs in the Language of Kemet). The spoken word is by my brother Bikbaye.This is a significant project by Baabe Irving III and the African Arts Ensemble. We'll also interview BikBaye in the near future.
